During the EA conference today for E3 there were many good moments with a ton of news on some amazing games coming to all of us in the next few years. No matter what type of gamer you are they really did have something for everyone to get excited about. But one major piece of news that many fans were curious about was what is EA doing with the Star Wars franchise?
When Star Wars Battlefront 2 initially released it was met with heavy criticism over its unfair microtransaction system. After the ensuing PR nightmare caused by this, it would appear that EA has learned their lesson. Many of the new features that Battlefront 2 fans have been wanting to be implemented into the game has been confirmed. New maps and heroes from the clone wars have been announced as coming to the game. As well as a couple of new game modes and some in-game content from the new Solo movie.
But one of the biggest announcements of today came from Vince Zampella, co-founder of Respawn. As he announced that Respawn is currently working on a new Star Wars action and an adventure game called Jedi: Fallen Order. He was very hesitant in giving out a ton of information but did confirm they you would play as a Jedi, the game would take place between episode 3 and 4 of the movies and the game will be very dark. He also mentioned a potential release date of the holiday season of 2019.
